This Just In-
The Taste of Charleston has been cancelled this year.
The Daily Mail is reporting today that, after a 28-year run, this popular local event has come to a grinding halt. At least for now.
Resons cited for the cancellation include bad timing, bad luck, lack of sponsors, increased fees imposed by the Civic Center, and the inability to find a suitable location to hold the event in conjunction with FestivALL. Chairman Michael Henshall’s first year at the helm didn’t go so well.
Hopefully organizers will be able to successfully pair Taste of Charleston with FestivALL next year. Sounds like a yummy marriage.
Now I have to get back to my letter writing campaign requesting that Fork You be future judges.
